Listening Bar

For the first time in Romania, one of the sections of the exhibition will feature a functional bar!

The first section of the Music Gallery will be represented by a functional bar, themed around the Prohibition era (1920 – 1933) in the United States, which is also considered the “Golden Age” of Jazz. For 13 years, the sale of alcohol was banned, leading to the emergence of many “hidden” bars where, you guessed it, Jazz was played! We will recreate such a bar, where the public can enjoy a coffee or a special cocktail while learning interesting information about one of the periods that most influenced Jazz.

The bar will have free access and will be open throughout the gallery’s operational period. Additionally, during Music Gallery, we will host music listening sessions and various music talks with special guests in this bar. The sound in the space will be provided by the Cluj-based equipment manufacturer, Estelio.
